I randomly opened this book and began reading. Even though I am familiar with the material, somehow it spoke to me a a new way and I think what I learned to be extremely valuable to me. I'm looking forward to reading a few pages each day and taking the time to absorb the messages in this book. It's also a beautiful book. I was looking forward to gifting the book but then my cat chewed up the cover. Maybe that's the cosmos' way telling me that this book is for ME.
This is a high quality, beautifully designed book. The illustrations and the layout are outstanding. I recommend it for readers of all ages. It is perfect for reading with small children.The only drawback I found with this book is the small font size, which makes reading the text difficult for people with visual problems, even when using magnifying lenses. I don't understand why such a tiny typeface was used as there is plenty of white space on the pages that would allow for a more readable type size without increasing the page count.
This reads like a story, with a preamble about what the apostles were doing, what the crowds were doing, the parable, and then discussion between the apostles and Jesus about their interpretations of the parable. I love the artwork, quality paper, and overall feel of this book. I highly recommend the Parables of Jesus to all truth seekers.
A lovely addition to the teachings of Jesus. Grouping all of the parables, his favorite way of teaching, together in one book with beautiful illustrations is wonderful.
This was a Christmas gift from my hubby who knows I love the teachings of Jesus. We read it together some evenings for our quality time. I kind of wish, though, that there was more added narrative on the original parables.
