This book has all the figurines in alphabetical order, so it's easier to locate items you are researching. The section with the different back stamps helps to determine time frames when the pieces were manufactured. If you chose to get only one reference book on Florence Ceramics, I highly recommend this choice, but both books on this California Pottery company would be excellent guides for collectors.

great resource for learning about the different figurines produced at the florence ward factory in california -- price guide is of little use however with today's 2012 economy and as more of the figurines come on to the market more colors are seen than what is listed in the indexes in the back of the book -- well worth the money if you are a collector along with doug foland's book "the florence collection -- an era of elegance"as i add to my collection -- i use these two books constantly in making my choices at estate sales and online auctions
Great reference material for the collector
I just started collecting the "ladies" figurines and this book itemizes all styles produced. The figurines are organized alphabetically by name which is easier to research than the format used in another Florence Ceramics book. Good photography and useful information for collectors.
