I was turned on to The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film by YouTube's Original 80's Vlogger, "Weird Paul" Petroskey, who bought this little-known classic when he was a boy in the mid-1980s. After reading it, he compiled a massive list of films he wanted to see; he's now seen almost all of them.For anyone who has always enjoyed this type of movie, the book is hard to put down! The author has vast knowledge and understanding about these films. He pokes fun at them, but in an affectionate way; he also shows respect towards the better films and actors. His critiques are fair and insightful; they don't repeat tired clichés. For example, about Plan 9 from Outer Space, he writes: "The merits of this incredible film have not been exaggerated. It's not actually the worst film ever made, but it's the most entertaining bad one you'll find."The book's 815 pages are printed on slick paper that is thin, but good quality; the volume is surprisingly heavy for its size. The graphic design is also well-done and easy on the eyes. The font is large enough to be easy to read. There are only two columns per page. Each page has a very wide margin on the edge which is sometimes partly filled with one of the many illustrations (rare stills, posters, and ads).If you are thinking of buying this book, don't hesitate -- do it now, while it's still available!

I can hardly believe this book was published in 1983! A thorough and lavishly illustrated magnum opus that is a must for any cult cinema fan! Hours of enjoyment lay in wait.
